Prisoner stabbed in vicious attack at Mountjoy jail

A YOUNG robber behind bars in Mountjoy Prison was lucky to survive a stabbing yesterday after guards broke up an attack.

The unlucky inmate was set upon only hours after celebrating his 22nd birthday.

The prisoner is serving a six year sentence for robbery and was attacked immediately when cells were opened in the morning.
