SIPTU has called off strike action at Aer Lingus which was due to disrupt flights for thousands of passengers next Monday.

Following exploratory talks in the Labour Court yesterday afternoon, the court agreed to begin an investigation into the dispute between management and unions at the national airline.

The Labour Court will start its deliberations tomorrow evening and continue through Friday. It hopes to issue a recommendation to the parties on Monday.
