Mumba cancels comeback show

SINGER Samantha Mumba has cancelled her comeback concert in her hometown of Dublin with just days to go because of poor ticket sales.

The pop starlet from Drumcondra was dogged by rumours of difficulties selling out the 1,000 capacity venue since she first announced her return to the stage at Vicar Street on Friday, March 2.

The 24-year-old said: “I am disappointed that the Dublin concert has been cancelled but excited about the showcase in London and hoping that when my new album comes out I will be able to perform it live in Dublin as it has always been my dream to bring my show to my home town.”

Fans who purchased the 25 tickets will be fully refunded.

Samantha, who had her debut hit Gotta Tell You in 2000, is working on a comeback with the release of her single Personalities from her new album.
