Moore and Flaming Lips set to light up Marquee

ALTERNATIVE rock band, The Flaming Lips, and folk legend, Christy Moore, have been added to the line-up of the Cork summer music festival Live at the Marquee, Aiken Promotions is expected to announce today.

The two acts join The Who, Slayer, Status Quo and BellX1 for the third Live at the Marquee festival, which runs in Cork from June 22 to July 7 next. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Oklahoma City rock band, The Flaming Lips, formed in 1983, but shot to prominence in the 1990s, with albums such as Transmissions from the Satellite Heart and The Soft Bulletin.
