Fatal crash sparks public disturbance

THREE men arrested yesterday at a temporary halting site in Watergrasshill, Co Cork, were related to a man killed in Saturday evening’s road crash on a dual carriageway in Cork.

The deceased, named locally as William Anthony O’Driscoll, was a brother of a woman living on the Traveller site.

The woman was not involved in a major public disturbance which ensued after Travellers learned a relative and friend had died.
