Council proposal to put car sellers off the road

THE days of people advertising cars for sale at the side of Co Cork roads are numbered, as the local authority is about to pass new laws that will see such vehicles seized and their owners facing hefty penalties.

Cork County Council is considering a draft policy for dealing with the proliferation of cars for sale, expected to be passed shortly by the 48 council members.

A warning sticker will be placed on offending vehicles, notifying the owner if it is not removed within 24 hours it will be seized.
