Depraved worker wasn’t reported

A DEPRAVED employee was fired from three different companies before gardaí eventually caught up with his child pornography distribution activities, writes Juno McEnroe.

“Incidents have occurred in the past where people have been dismissed and not reported to law enforcement,” said Detective Inspector Paul Gillen with the force’s Computer Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU).

“(It) could end up in a situation where the company could be held civilly liable for the incident should that person have gone on and abused some child.”
