Limerick ammunition find nets 300 rounds

A HUGE cache of ammunition was found yesterday by Limerick gardaí during a planned search in Southill, Limerick city.

Up to 300 rounds of ammunition, said to be in excellent condition, were recovered by detectives from Roxboro Road station during a garden dig of an unoccupied house.

The bullets were of a caliber used in hand guns and semi-automatic weapons.
