More than 10,000 people apply for ‘Greener Homes’ grant

MORE than 10,000 people have applied for Government grants to make their homes greener by improving the energy efficient rating.

The ‘Greener Homes’ scheme, run by Sustainable Energy Ireland, has been in operation since last March with various grants on offer to those who want to install energy-saving technology in a new house, or who want to change their heating system to something less environmentally-damaging.

The following grants are available to home-owners:
