CORK County Council employees in North Cork have mounted a campaign to aid children at an orphanage in Belarus.

The idea came from Ellen Healy, a traffic and litter warden in Kanturk who said: “We are looking for members of the public to donate a number of badly needed items.”

Ms Healy and her colleagues are looking for plastic baby bottles, feeding spoons, and cups for the babies and teenagers.
