‘Name and shame’ paedophiles on web: Kenny

FINE GAEL leader Enda Kenny last night insisted Ireland needs an official “name-and-shame” website to help hunt down paedophiles on the run.

He cited the success of a similar high-profile system in Britain which resulted in a wanted sex offender handing himself in within days of it going on the net.

Mr Kenny said Ireland was trailing behind Britain in tracking down paedophiles and needed to use every means to combat child abuse.
