Limerick city ‘poised for a huge shopping take-off’

A TOP businessman joined Limerick Chamber of Commerce yesterday for a confident declaration that Limerick city centre is poised for a huge shopping take-off.

Suneil Sharma, a Belfast businessman leading a huge revival in city retailing, said the city had “turned the corner” as a place to come and shop.

Mr Sharma heads Regeneration Developments Ltd, which is investing €250 million in the vast Opera Centre, which has been given the green light for the city centre.
