Nursing home wins top award for quality of care

A CORK nursing home has won a national award for its quality care after beating the challenge of four other finalists.

CareChoice Montenotte, which was formally the Montenotte Care Centre, has won this year’s Excellence Ireland Quality Award (EIQA) for the standard of its care.

The facility was selected for the final having achieved a Grade 2 rating in the EIQA Quality of Care for Nursing Homes programme in May of this year, and it was the only nursing home in Ireland to achieve this grade.
