Councillors unite to extend resort’s boundaries

COUNCILLORS from all sides of the political divide are uniting in an all-out bid to extend the boundary of one of the South-East’s busiest seaside resorts.

Tramore councillors will unite over the coming week to devise a joint proposal to extend the town’s boundary, a move which they believe will allow the town to further develop and grow.

A special meeting of Tramore Town Council is being organised to draw up the boundary extension proposal for submission to the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

Local Fianna Fáil councillor Blaise Hannigan, the prime mover behind the initiative, said he will propose at the meeting that the town’s boundary be extended in three areas West Town, Knockenduff and Glen Road.
