PSNI received almost 4,000 job applications from the Republic

ALMOST 4,000 people from the Republic have applied to join the PSNI since 2002 according to official figures from the force.

Of the 3,998 who applied in the 10 recruitment drives over the past four years, 103 are now full-time members of the PSNI.

The PSNI’s breakdown between Catholic and non-Catholic members now stands at 20.08% and 79.92% respectively.
