Birdhill basks in status as Ireland’s tidiest village

BIRDHILL, a community of less than 200 people, is today basking in its status as Ireland’s tidiest village.

The picturesque Tipperary village straddles the N7 route between Limerick and Nenagh — offering a blaze of colour to passers by.

Committee chairman Ted Moynihan, who hails from the Cork/Kerry border, was delighted with the win.
