Lyons made ‘quantum leap’ during garda interviews

Lyons made ‘quantum leap’ during garda interviews

In his first interview, the only one of the four to be video-taped, he readily admitted to killing housemates Sylvia Shiels and Mary Callinan but was consistently wrong about the location of the murders.

He told interviewing officers Detective Garda Joe O’Connor and Det Gda William Mullis that the attacks happened on the stairway and hall of the house when the women disturbed him after he broke in to look for money to buy drugs.
