Minister gets fresh with milk scheme

THOUSANDS of primary school children will soon be sporting a milky moustache thanks to a new scheme launched yesterday by Agriculture and Food Minister Mary Coughlan.

A refrigeration unit for the milk is being offered free of charge to each of the 1,000 participating schools.

Flavoured milk, low-fat and fortified options, with improved packaging and new designs, will now be available under the new school milk scheme.
