AN Aer Lingus flight was involved in a mid-Atlantic bomb scare yesterday.

999 call has Shannon on red alert

The Airbus A330 was three hours out from Shannon when gardaí in Dublin received a 999 call claiming there was a bomb on board.

The plane was carrying 239 passengers, including four infants, and 12 crew. It touched down at 7.46am.
