‘Golden handcuffs’ tie Norton to BBC

GRAHAM NORTON has signed a new multi-million-pound “golden handcuffs” deal with the BBC.

The three-year contract will keep the Cork-born entertainer with the Corporation until the end of 2009.

ITV reportedly tried to poach the star but was outbid by the BBC.
