It’s nags and glad rags for 25,000 seaside racing fans

THOUGH the rain may be back for a few days, festival revellers are planning four days to remember in one of the south-east’s top seaside resorts.

Record crowds of over 25,000 visitors are due to get their glad rags on and wager on the nags as they gather for this week’s August festival at Waterford & Tramore Racecourse.

The four-day meeting at the seaside track in Co Waterford will generate an estimated €3 million economic boost from tomorrow to Sunday.
