ONE of the most picturesque places in Cork Harbour has been earmarked for a multi-million euro holiday complex.

Five-star resort plan for Cork Harbour

Currabinny, just across the water from Crosshaven, could become the home of a five-star resort on a 17.5 acre site.

The plan has been floated by the Shipton Group, which is chaired by Cork businessman and property developer Clayton Love.

Plans for the proposed development, on Tobarelly Harbour, have been circulated among residents.

Phase one will incorporate among other features, a harbour lodge with 20 studio suites, 35 self catering lodges, apartments and duplexes, swimming pools, sauna and a 66-berth marina.

Phase two will include a spa resort.

The next two phases will focus on the construction of self catering lodges.

The Shipton Group have teamed up with local landowner Fred Gilroy on the project.
