Mother wear: shirt allows for discreet breastfeeding

A MOTHER believes she has found a way of pushing up Ireland’s low breastfeeding rate after discovering a T-shirt that allowed her, discreetly and in comfort, to feed her daughter in public.

Yifa McDonald from Ashington, Dublin, was in France about a year ago when she discovered the Baby Boubette (BabyB) breastfeeding blouse.

“I was pregnant and wanted three but the shop only had one left. They were sold out,” she recalled.

“The nursing blouse is a T-shirt with two long zippers along the sides that allows a mother to breastfeed her child in a discreet and relaxing manner in any place at any time,” she explained. And Yifa, who wore the T-shirts while breastfeeding one-year-old Lia, has decided to start selling them.

The T-shirts cost €29.99 and Yifa only has a limited amount available.

“I am not a big businesswoman — I work in the home, but I believe this product is the best there is because I tested it myself,” she said.
