An article in Food Illustrated suggests that consumers should stick it in the fridge — at least as long as the hot weather continues. Editor William Sitwell went as far as to suggest that it is “criminal” to leave decent bottles out of the fridge.

“Red wines at the moment are gagging to get in the fridge, they are pleading to be there,” he said.
