Second legal action for €50m centre

BUSINESSMAN Jim Mansfield has started a fresh legal action to overturn a decision by An Bord Pleanála to refuse him planning permission for a controversial conference centre at his Citywest hotel and golf complex in Dublin.

The wealthy developer and hotelier confirmed yesterday that one of his companies, HSS, has initiated judicial review proceedings against the ruling by the planning appeals authority.

It is the second High Court action taken by Mr Mansfield against An Bord Pleanála over his failure to get approval for his pet project.
