Progress on bike crash probe
The driver of a BMW car will be interviewed in due course, according to gardaí.
He is in his 20s and from the Knocknagoshel area.
A file is expected to be sent to the DPP when the probe is completed. Sergeant Derek Fleming, Knocknagoshel, said all witnesses that had been required had come forward.
The Polish motorcyclists, who were returning from a European Harley-Davidson rally, in Killarney, were on their way to catch a ferry in Dublin when the accident occurred.
Both received extensive injuries. Their mangled motorcycles caught fire after the impact and were fused together by the heat of the flames.
The BWW driver, who was not the owner of the car, was treated for non-life threatening injuries in Kerry General Hospital, Tralee, from where he has since been discharged.
Some seasoned emergency service personnel, who attended the scene, said it was the worst accident they had ever experienced.
