Musician dies

ONE of the foremost figures in folk and traditional music, Micheal Ó Domhnaill, died at the weekend.

He died suddenly at his Dublin home. He was 54 years of age.

A native of Co Meath, he was a former member of the Bothy Band.

He also performed regularly with his sisters Triona and Maighread.
