O’Donoghue appoints new chairman of Bord na gCon
Mr Taggart stepped down as chairman yesterday after 10 years at the helm of the greyhound authority. It came a day after his final act as chairman, a characteristically combative and colourful performance before the Dáil’s financial watchdog, the public accounts committee.
Mr O’Sullivan, the manager of Punchestown Racecourse is already a board member of Bord na gCon. He and former SDLP leader Seamus Mallon were appointed earlier this year by the minister.
