College camp: adults get taste of student life

RECORD numbers of adults who were given a sneak preview of college life are planning to enrol in third-level education in Waterford in September.

Of the 20 who took part in an induction programme, all but one plan to enrol in September. The sole candidate who won’t be going on to third level is instead boosting her computer skills but plans to go to college next year.

Mother of two Helen Hennessy has beaten cancer twice. She hopes to adopt the same attitude when she begins her four-year Health Promotion programme at WIT in September.
