Rising tide of last 10 years leaves one-in-five people on poverty line

Our population and economy is booming, but a new report tracking Ireland’s progress also sounds some ominous warnings, writes Paul Kelly.

IRELAND’S population is booming while her citizens are wealthier and better educated than ever before, according to a new report.

The report, Measuring Ireland’s Progress, also says we are living longer and having more children per family than anywhere in Europe.
