Dempsey admits PD row could hinder Government

THE row in the PDs over the leadership of the party could distract from the work of the Government, a Fianna Fáil minister admitted last night.

Communications Minister Noel Dempsey acknowledged that the internal bickering could do serious damage.

“Anything like that takes your eye off the ball,” he said. “We’ve had it in Fianna Fáil over the years — I was involved in some of it myself.”
