Anti-mast postcard campaign to target Ahern

UPWARDS of 2,500 postcards are being sent to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and TDs this week as part of a protest against telecommunications masts.

Behind the campaign is a group from Glenbeigh, on the Ring of Kerry, which has already succeeded in getting Vodafone to drop plans for a proposed mast in the area.

However, local people are seriously concerned about plans for two other masts.
