CRUNCH talks to hammer out a new social partnership deal were finally expected to deliver an agreement today.

The marathon negotiations stalled on the issue of pensions, but pressure was growing on unions and employers last night to reach a compromise.

Talks had been expected to conclude last Saturday. However, divisions on pension rights, employment standards, social housing, healthcare and education led to an extension.
