THE popular soft drink Diet Club Lemon was withdrawn from the shelves yesterday after it was found to contain high levels of a cancer-causing chemical.

The decision by Club to voluntarily suspend production came after research showed it had nine times the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommended level of benzene.
