TRANSPORT Minister Martin Cullen has claimed a draft Road Traffic Bill published yesterday will provide major new powers to tackle the two main causes of deaths and serious injuries.

Mr Cullen said the proposed bill provided evidence that road safety was at the top of the political agenda.
