Photographer dies after ‘freak accident’

TWO investigations are underway following the death of a 55-year-old man in north Cork.

Gardaí and officials from the Health and Safety Authority are investigating what is being described as “a freak and tragic accident” which claimed the life of a 55-year-old photographer.

Gardaí yesterday released the name of the man who died in hospital late on Monday night, around 36 hours after he received serious head injuries in the accident which took place at Stag Park, Mitchelstown.
