Hayes in plea to stop Kerry Babies film

THE woman at the centre of the Kerry Babies Tribunal more than 20 years ago has pleaded with promoters planning to make two films about the controversy to desist.

Joanne Hayes, who has closely guarded her privacy since the affair made her the focus of a media frenzy, yesterday made the appeal through solicitor Pat Mann.

Mr Mann said he wrote to those involved and made an “earnest” request not to go ahead.
