Drainage works to benefit thousands

WATER quality for thousands of householders across Waterford is set to improve with €50 million-plus of drainage works about to get underway in the region.

The project will necessitate major road works in the city.

Waterford City Council has signed contracts with Pierse Contracting Ltd for part of the second phase of the Waterford Main Drainage Scheme, which will see €56.5m spent on eight separate contracts.
