TV series attracting students to forensic science degree

A TV police series is making the study of crime detection techniques popular with third-level students.

A forensic science degree course at Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) is attracting record numbers.

And the head of the degree course says the RTÉ One series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is a factor. It features a forensic science team at the Las Vegas police department who crack investigations by tracing and identifying tiny fragments of evidence.
