Man falls to death from roof

THE Health and Safety Executive in Northern Ireland is to launch an investigation after a worker died when he fell from a roof he was working on in Co Tyrone yesterday afternoon.

The man, in his early 40s, fell while working at the house on the Mountjoy Road in Stewartstown and landed in an adjacent pond.

He has not yet been named but is believed to be a local man. He died at the scene.
