Missing couple riddle lives on

EXACTLY 15 years on, and gardaí and townspeople in Fermoy are still no closer to uncovering the reasons behind the mysterious disappearance of Conor and Shiela Dwyer.

Missing couple riddle lives on

The elderly couple were last seen at St Patrick’s Church in the County Cork town on April 30, 1991. In the following days, gardaí were notified that they were missing, yet searches of the family home on Chapel Hill found no evidence of a break-in or a struggle.

The only item missing was the couple’s car, a white Toyota Cressida, number plate 5797 ZT. Like the Dwyers, the car has never been seen since.
