The rest of his FF colleagues did a) not very much or b) indulged pathetic fantasies about being high-powered CEOs and spouted out meaningless phrases like “Ireland Inc” and “going forward”.
McCreevy, in his defence, favoured muster over bluster. He was the only minister who has truly left his footprint on Government over a period of nine years.
