City boundary ‘not an issue for local residents’

This came from the latest survey of Limerick attitudes on various issues, commissioned by local TD Michael Noonan. A previous survey on crime found that Limerick people were far more concerned with anti-social behaviour in residential areas than the highly publicised city feud.

Mr Noonan’s survey on local councils, involved the distribution of 20,000 questionnaires in the city and suburbs to find out what people thought of services provided by Limerick City Council; Limerick County Council, which administers most city suburbs; and Clare County Council, which looks after a small pocket on the north side of the city.
