A CATHOLIC family escaped injury early yesterday when shots were fired at their home in Northern Ireland.

The attack happened after six men, some of them masked, entered a house in Corkey Road in the village of Loughgiel, Co Antrim, just before 2am.

It is believed they were looking for someone who was not in the house at the time.
