Meteorologist banned for drink driving

ONE of the country’s best-known meteorologists, Evelyn Cusack, has been banned from driving for two years after being convicted of driving while over twice the legal alcohol limit last month.

Ms Cusack, aged 46, of Myrtle Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, was also fined €450 and had her driving licence endorsed.

The Met Éireann presenter pleaded guilty yesterday at Dun Laoghaire District Court to driving a vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
