Revenue leaked tax probe details, says Lowry

In an unexpected public condemnation to the development revealed by Charlie Bird of RTÉ News Mr Lowry alleged that Revenue had breached its own codes of practice in relation to confidentiality.

He also alleged the tax authorities, by referring the file to the DPP, had further breached its own code that those who make full and unqualified voluntary disclosures of their tax affairs will not be prosecuted.
