Air Corps bullying claims

AIR CORPS personnel who raised serious concerns that checks were not made on search and rescue safety harnesses have been subjected to harassment and bullying, defence forces representatives said last night.

The harnesses used by helicopter winch men were not checked for months after they were meant to be, PDFORRA general secretary Gerry Rooney said.

“When it was raised at local level, they were just told to get on with the job,” the general secretary said.
