HUNDREDS of budding scribes have the chance to write their way to success in a national handwriting competition. The INTO/EBS competition is aimed at improving children’s handwriting skills because fewer students are using pens and pencils.

“People are typing and texting more than ever. That’s why we believe it’s increasingly important to promote the art of handwriting among children at an early age,” an INTO spokesperson said.

The INTO and the EBS building society have teamed up to relaunch the competition now in its 11th year. “We expect the number of entries to be higher and the children more enthusiastic than ever before,” a spokesperson said.
