Adams’s predicts big gains

SINN FÉIN is set to make significant gains, winning at least two European seats, party leader Gerry Adams claimed yesterday.

Closing the party’s hard- fought election campaign, he appealed to all Irish people to use their vote to create change.

“We are on target to make significant gains and Sinn Féin is increasingly seen as the only real alternative,” he said.

The party claimed it was on track to more than double its local council seats and win European seats for the first time.
