Taoiseach urges caution over Waterford boundary extension

WATERFORD’S proposed boundary extension into Kilkenny is a difficult issue but those impacted should take the time out to consider all the consequences of the move, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has urged.

Due attention has to be paid to all of the arguments, all of the benefits and the consequences, the Taoiseach said as he visited Waterford and Kilkenny.

“It’s a difficult issue because you are affecting people, affecting organisations, people’s homes and their geographical rights,” Mr Ahern said.
